Saturday 10 am  May 28th at Crystal Lake

Georgia Mountain Remote-Controled Airplanes will be taking off and landing at Crystal Lake.  Bring a chair and enjoy watching the airplanes fly.

Racheal Morgan aided by Judy Smith and other Owners are taking on the challenge of offering a summer program for our Owner's Teens.  The planning and implementing of our Summer Events are intended to teach our Teens valuable lessons of life.  There is still time to join.  If you are 11 years old or older (or a very mature youth under 11 yrs. old) Racheal will qualify you to be on the team.  You will meet new friends and be right in the middle of all the fun as you manage the events.  The teens will be raising money for their end-of-the-summer blow-out field trip.

Poolside Snacks

From 12 to 2, the Teens will be offering Poolside snacks on Saturday May 28th. at the lodge

On-Going Activities

Don't forget that the stables will be open and the Gold Panning and Gem mining will be available.  You can purchase bags of sand from Crisson's Gold Mine at the Office.  There are also canoes at Crystal lake to enjoy. Try you luck at Putt-Putt.  All the supplies for the Sports area such as volley ball, badminton, kick ball, basket ball, tennis are available at the office.  If you prefer indoors, there is a pool table, ping pong table, foosball and movie theatre room at the activity center.    We do believe the Sock Monkey will be waking up from hibernation and will again be lost on this Ranch somewhere.  We are sure he would love your help to find him.  Keep an eye out for clues coming your way.

Sock Hop

Dancing thru the Decades

Starting at 7:30 pmThe Teen Team Program would like to transform the lodge into a 50's diner where you will be able to order traditional 50's dinner and be served. *  They will have a soda shop available so feel free to visit and support our teen team as they support R Ranch with our great programs coming up.  We are also asking those who come to bring either Salty or Sweet snacks to share on the buffet table; A thru L brings salty and M thru Z brings sweet or bring whatever is your favorite snack.    *pending volunteers’ availability

Music begins at 8 pm.  Let's Rock-n-Roll and dance through the decades with a live 2-person band "Destination" (some of the same members from the New Year’s Eve band with the sound of a 6-piece band).  What better theme to salute Memorial Day Weekend then a waltz down memory lane?  What a time to remember the music, the laughter, and the fun.

Come drift down memory lane as we share our teen years with the young people of today.  Bring some your loving keepsakes that represent the best memories of
your life and put them on display at the lodge along with everyone else's:  keepsakes like wedding photos, cheerleading memorabilia, football jerseys of days gone by, childhood photos or military metals, photos, etc.  There will be a special table set up just for the Military Memorabilia.  We know you have been holding on to these keepsakes for all these years so now is the time to dust them off and share them with everyone...great conversational pieces.

Come dressed for the 50's or the decade of your choice and win prizes for best in categories.  There will be many more fun contests and games.

Ice Cream Truck

On Sunday, May 29th, flashback to your childhood as you listen for that ole familiar sound of the Sweet Memories Ice Cream Truck Music Box around 1 pm as it travels through the ranch.  Purchase your favorite ice cream from 1 pm till 3 pm either StreetSide or poolside.

Golf Cart Parade

On Sunday May 29th at 8 pm starting at the RV 5 Bathhouse, we will begin our traditional Memorial Day Red, White, and Blue Decorated Golf Cart Parade.  We are looking for a Volunteer to lead the parade through the Ranch and end up at the Lodge near the fire pit.  Here we will ceremoniously lower the flag in preparation of the honorable flag raising ceremony on Monday morning.   But Don't go away yet.

Movie Under the Stars

Sunday May 29th after the golf cart parade, Noel Kyle and family are hosting the Movie under the Stars at this same spot.  Bring your favorite lounge chair, beach towel or sit in your golf cart like a drive in movie, and get ready to laugh and laugh as you watch a very funny family movie.  Remember to bring a few dollars as the Teen Team will have available popcorn and sodas.

Flag Raising Ceremony

Monday Morning Flag raising 9 am at the Lodge in memory of those who paid the ultimate price for our Freedom. This ceremony will be initiated by Herb Kirkover and assisted by the National Guard.  If you have a special story you would like to share, please do not hesitate to tell it when we open the floor.  After the ceremony, we will have complementary coffee, tea and donuts available in the Grill Room at the Lodge.
