Recreational Lodge

This 13,000 square-foot multi-use space hosts regular entertainment for owners — from dance-band evenings, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve party, etc. It is also a great venue for wedding receptions, family reunions, and corporate retreats. The downstairs recreation rooms offer movie rooms, pool tables, football tables, and more! For quiet times and a glorious, panoramic mountain view, we suggest enjoying the lodge while you relax in a rocking chair on the long wraparound porch.

Horse Stables

As an R-Ranch owner you have access to the ranch’s private herd of horses consisting of Quarter horses, Paints, Morgans, Arabians, and Belgians. R-Ranch horses are gentle trail companions and are accustomed to the western-style of riding. There are trail rides four days a week (Friday – Monday (weather permitting) led by stable employees to assist you along the way. For R-Kids, they can ride horses in the corral until they are ready for a trail ride. Check the schedule at the stables for ride times and requirements to plan accordingly.

The Pool

Make a splash in your own pebbled bottom pool. Envision yourself basking in the warm sun, gazing up at the massive mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest, all while keeping watch over your kids as they play a game of “Marco-polo” in your very own R-shaped swimming pool.

Dog Park

Here at R-Ranch, knowing that dogs are a treasured part of the family, we have even included a special place for them to enjoy too!! Our fully fenced dog park has a large grassy area for your pups to run off leash, socialize and play. Pet waste stations and bags provide easy clean up. Our dog park is also lit so you can enjoy playtime anytime!

Fishing and Canoeing

R-Ranch in the Mountains℠ currently has two lakes, Crystal Lake and Rainbow Lake. You’ll find bass, bluegill, and catfish, as well as frogs, tadpoles, minnows, and geese. For serious trout fishing, the cold waters of the Chestatee River and other trout streams are only a few miles away. Also on both lakes are canoes included in your membership. You simply go to the front desk to check out your paddles to enjoy some tranquil time on the water.

Trails

The R-Ranch is a wonderland for nature enthusiasts. With over 35 miles of natural hiking and walking trails scattered across 800+ acres, you can explore the surrounding Chattahoochee Oconee National Forests without ever having to drive to a trailhead. Trail markers are dispersed throughout the R-Ranch. Whether you are birdwatching, capturing the landscape by photograph, or testing your physical stamina, there are many ways to enjoy the nature trails at R-Ranch.

Sports Fields

For those who are desiring to be active while on the Ranch, we have various offerings that include putt-putt, a sand volleyball court, baseball field complete with bleachers and backstop, horseshoes, and a variety of playgrounds located throughout.

Chapel

Our quaint chapel located at the top of Chapel Hill adjacent to our Recreational Lodge currently hosts Sunday morning non-denominational services. The Chapel is available for reservations for private events and accommodates 50 guests.

Playgrounds & Pavillions

There are multiple pavilion options here at the R-Ranch. Our largest pavilion is enclosed and located near our sports fields. It includes a grill, propane heaters, picnic tables, and bathrooms next door. We also have countless Playgrounds around the property.
